Popular Nigerian Beautician, Sally Onome Okunzuwa Dies of Charcoal Fumes.

Sally Onome Okunzuwa who ran a top beauty salon and spa in Port Harcourt reportedly died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The late beautician died from charcoal fumes in her hotel room in Obudu, Calabar on August 23.

According to reports, Sally had burned charcoal in her hotel room to keep herself warm in the night. She was discovered dead the following morning.

Breathing in excess carbon monoxide (CO) will lead to carbon monoxide poisoning of which the resultant symptoms include headache, dizziness to coma and death.

Sally Onome’s death was confirmed in an official statement on her Instagram business page.

The statement reads:

“It is with the deepest regret we bring to your knowledge the sudden demise of our beloved daughter, sister and boss Sally Onome Okunzuwa CEO SALLY SIGNATURE SALON AND SPA. Who left this world to a better place On the 23rd of August 2020 due to Carbon monoxide poisoning. The sally signature brand will like to use this medium to appreciate you all for your prayers and support.

Her brand was built on hard work, sweat, consistency and God. Please be assured that we are here to serve you bigger and better in honour of Sally Onome Okunzuwa, thereby ensuring that her brand sally signature lives on as sally would have wanted it. She was an inspiration, a hard-working lady and a beauty. Her goal is to ensure every woman attains the beauty they desire and that still stands. Vehicles destroyed as container falls off trailer in Ogun (photos)

Some vehicles have been destroyed after the containers on a trailer fell off and landed on them along Sango road in Ogun state on Tuesday morning, September 29.

The father of 20-year-old singer Daniel Chibuike Ikeaguchi, popularly known as Sleek, who was shot dead by the police in Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, River State, shed tears while calling for justice for his late son.

The bereaved father mentioned that he lived in the Northern part of Nigeria for years and didn’t lose a finger, only to lose his son when he returned to the South.

He also called on God to avenge his son’s death.

Sleek was shot dead on Saturday, September 19, 2020, allegedly by a mobile police officer attached to De Topic supermarket, while he was being chased by SARS operatives.

Kogi Tanker Explosion: Photo of woman killed alongside her husband and three children

A couple identified as Mr and Mrs Olu Samson and their three children were killed in the Kogi tanker explosion which occurred on Wednesday September 23.

 

Most of the victims of the explosion which occurred around 8.30am in the Felele area of Lokoja, along the Lokoja/Abuja Highway, were school children and students of the state -owned Polytechnic located a short distance away from the scene.

It was gathered that the fuel laden tanker belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) suffered brake failure, rammed into five cars, two motorcycles and three tricycles, as it hurtled down the road, killing the occupants before bursting into flames.

 

The couple was said to be dealing in sewing machines and other tailoring materials at Borehole cantonment in Felele.

According to reports, Samson wanted to drop off his children at school as had become his daily routine before opening his shop.

 

The couple were on their way to drop off the kids at school when the incident happened. Confirming the report, one Winsome Rufus took to Facebook to mourn the family.
