Death keeps no calendar…it knocks on people’s doors by surprise.

A sad news of a Nigerian man, Rex Ebube Amatu who died in a ghastly car accident just three days after his wedding has gone viral.

Rex, who hails from Anambra state,  got married on Saturday, September 5 and was involved in a fatal accident on his way back to Lagos State on Tuesday, September 8.

According to reports, the accident happened in Asaba, Delta state.

A Facebook user, Ben Chiedo said that the accident occurred when a tipper tried to overtake a car stopped by some policemen at a police check point. In the process of overtaking, the tipper hit and smashed the deceased car.

Vehicles destroyed as container falls off trailer in Ogun (photos)

Some vehicles have been destroyed after the containers on a trailer fell off and landed on them along Sango road in Ogun state on Tuesday morning, September 29.

It is not yet certain if there are any casualties from the accident.

The father of 20-year-old singer Daniel Chibuike Ikeaguchi, popularly known as Sleek, who was shot dead by the police in Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, River State, shed tears while calling for justice for his late son.

The bereaved father mentioned that he lived in the Northern part of Nigeria for years and didn’t lose a finger, only to lose his son when he returned to the South.

He also called on God to avenge his son’s death.

Sleek was shot dead on Saturday, September 19, 2020, allegedly by a mobile police officer attached to De Topic supermarket, while he was being chased by SARS operatives.

Four policemen have been arrested in connection to the killing.

Kogi Tanker Explosion: Photo of woman killed alongside her husband and three children

A couple identified as Mr and Mrs Olu Samson and their three children were killed in the Kogi tanker explosion which occurred on Wednesday September 23.

 

Most of the victims of the explosion which occurred around 8.30am in the Felele area of Lokoja, along the Lokoja/Abuja Highway, were school children and students of the state -owned Polytechnic located a short distance away from the scene.

It was gathered that the fuel laden tanker belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) suffered brake failure, rammed into five cars, two motorcycles and three tricycles, as it hurtled down the road, killing the occupants before bursting into flames.

 

The couple was said to be dealing in sewing machines and other tailoring materials at Borehole cantonment in Felele.

According to reports, Samson wanted to drop off his children at school as had become his daily routine before opening his shop.

 

The couple were on their way to drop off the kids at school when the incident happened. Confirming the report, one Winsome Rufus took to Facebook to mourn the family.
