Media personality, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi has dished out advice to creatives about their work relationship with family members and friends. 

In tweets she shared, the OAP told creatives not to hesistate to turn down family and friends who won’t pay for their work. She also recalled her experience with someone she helped share her flyer on Instagram.

Dear creatives , do not hesistate to say “NO” to family members / family friends who don’t want to pay for your work. When I was mc’ing weddings a few yrs ago – some aunties /uncles will say “Come & MC your cousins wedding” but wouldn’t want to pay. I’m not around Ma.

Makeup artistes /photographers /artistes suffer this too.

One said “Please help me post this flyer on your IG page .” I helped her the first time . The second time , she came again & said “Please help me post this on your page and send your Acct details – let me send you 20k for the weekend “ I didn’t reply . You’ve got jokes .

Davido has reacted to allegation of slapping Mavin star, Rema at the backstage of the Big Brother Naija arena.

 

The rumour was started by a Twitter user who claimed that Davido slapped Rema after the Mavin star’s bouncers stopped Big Brother  Naija lockdown housemates from taking selfies with him during the finale show.

Rivers university suspends lecturer for allegedly sexually harassing and impregnating a student

The Management of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has suspended a lecturer, Dr Rowland Uchechukwu Igwe of the Department of Sociology for allegedly impregnating a student.

 

It was gathered that the lecturer allegedly intimidated, sexuallly harassed the said student before impregnating her.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, who confirmed the development in a statement on his personal Facebook account, on September 24, said the undergraduate suffered health complications as a result of the pregnancy.

“The Management of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has placed a lecturer, Dr Rowland Uchechukwu Igwe of the Department of Sociology on an Indefinite suspension on an allegation of serial intimidation, sexual harrassment and undue canal knowledge of a female undergraduate which resulted in her impregnation and other health complications.”

“The matter has been referred to the Council-Senate Committee on staff disciplinary matters for further investigation.” the statement reads.
