The Lagos State-Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu has incurred the wrath of Nigerians and celebrities over his statement in an address he made to the people of Lagos over the massacre at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday evening.

Sanwo-Olu has stated in his live press conference that no fatalities were recorded in the shooting that reportedly led to over 50 people injured while a few died.

Admitting that it was the military officers who opened fire in a bid to disperse #EndSARS protesters who were unarmed, Sanwo-Olu claimed that he has engaged the head of the Nigerian army over talks on the issue.
